Dieumerci Christel was inspired to build a tool that helped teachers form better relationships with their students. This leads to better understanding, communication, and learning. The team at Codelation was up to the challenge to help develop this amazing tool.
An important part of this build was a survey and poll tool. Enlight needed it to foster a classroom community that teachers could gather real-time data from students on things like curriculum engagement and inclusion.

In many classrooms, instructors only get to know the majority of students based on their performance in class. They are unable to truly connect on a deeper level with more than a few students out of the tens to possibly hundreds of students they lecture to within a year. Enlight needed to be able to fill in this gap missing in teacher-student relationships.
Everyone responds best to different styles of learning – such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and reading/writing. How can teachers understand how their students absorb information and adjust lessons accordingly? With Enlight’s lead, our team sought to solve this problem.
We started working with Dieumerci to help bring his vision to life. We worked on solving some of the issues observed in the classroom by:
Along with the Enlight team, we crafted a program that provides huge value to educators worldwide.
Currently, over 250 teachers have utilized Enlight in their classrooms to connect with their students. They are able to view interests and gain insight into how they learn best. Educators are also able to use Enlight as a tool to quiz students on lectures, survey their well-being, and more.
Students are able to easily fill out their profile with a survey that asks them about their hobbies and interests. They answer questions that give educators more insight into what matters most to their students.
Understanding is strengthened as the teachers are able to connect with students on a deeper level. They are able to tie certain topics into lesson plans that will grab student’s attention.
Enlight’s survey tool is a powerhouse. These can do more than just gather student’s interests. Educators are able to set up polls on how students handled last night’s homework, quiz them on points from yesterday’s lecture, and more. Students are able to give valuable and honest input on lessons without the pressure of saying it aloud in front of the teacher and peers.
“Enlight is designed for teachers to know the strength of students,” Software Engineer Suman Koirala exclaimed, “It is survey-based, so even the quiet kid in the class can express their interests and insight without talking to anyone.”

Most recently, the Enlight team was selected to be a part of Techstar’s Austin Class of 2021. Out of the vast number of applicants, Enlight was one of ten to be included in the program.
