There’s an awesome group for Fargo’s growing community of developers, and it’s called Fullstack Fargo! This meetup is hosted once a month and is open to developers, UI/UX designers, and the like interested in all things full stack development! We’re always excited to see events and opportunities for fellow nerds in our community; we wanted to spread the word to everyone!
If you’re not well-versed in the tech scene you might not know what the term “full stack” means. We’re not talking about a full stack of pancakes, sorry! In the world of coding, a full stack developer is someone with mastery over different coding languages, is able to build client and server software, and much more! You could say it’s a developer who is a jack of all trades.
Topics for the monthly meetups range from testing, UI Design, and the challenges of teaching new technologies. They are open to topic suggestions and guest speakers as well. Our very own founder Josh Christy was one of the guests on the roundtable discussion, “Just F—ing Ship It! I did and so can you!” If you want to check out that discussion, you can view the recording here. The meeting broke the attendance record for Fullstack Fargo and we’d love to help them break it again next month.
These meetups are currently held virtually over Google Meet for now, so you can access them from the comfort of your own home! The hope is to branch into in-person meetings when the time is right, so be on the lookout for updates on their Twitter and website!
If you or someone you know is interested in being a part of this cool meetup, head on over to https://fullstackfargo.github.io// to sign up for more information on upcoming events. Check this out if you want to meet fellow code nerds in the Fargo area and maybe even learn something new along the way.
